Bandoliers
Our bandolier bottles - which are also known as powder boxes or charges (17th
century) or 'apostles' (19th Century) - are based on surviving originals.
The bottles are individually hand turned, hand finished, then oiled for protection.
The leatherwork is hand-stitched and copied from a surviving example, the
waxed strings are made by hand, by twisting pure linen threads together, and
the bottles are separated by iron dividing rings.
Charge capacity is 4 drams (3 dram capacity available if specified).
Please note that although we keep some varieties in stock, these are usually made to order and there may therefore be a delay in getting your bandolier to you.
